VICTOR – On Thursday, March 10th 2022, the Victor Central School District named Bob Goodell, as the new Head Coach for the Varsity Boys Outdoor Track & Field Team. Goodell, brings more than 22 years of Head Coaching experience to his new post, including membership on the Section V Outdoor Committee, Section V Indoor Track & Field Coordinator and Meet Director to for several Sectional and State Qualifying Championships.
VCS Athletic Director (AD), Duane Weimer, said Goodell's extensive experience at Marion CSD has more than prepared him for this new leadership role in a larger district, and he is confident that Goodell will ensure the program will continue and improve upon it's rich tradition of success during competition, in the classroom and in life. Coach Goodell's paramount focus has been and will continue to be placed on academics, along with developing positive relationships with his student-athletes, Weimer Said.
"It is an honor to have this opportunity to be a Varsity Head Track and Field Coach at Victor High School, Goodell says. I am proud and excited to help build a strong program and provide a positive experience for the Victor student athletes. It has been a pleasure to work this past indoor season with athletes that have strong work ethics and the desire to improve and achieve their goals. VCS AD Weimer said Coach Goodell's appointment was made possible thanks to the valuable insight of the Victor Athletic Department Outdoor Track & Field Committee, comprised of Senior High Administration, Interscholastic Coaches, Student-Athletes, and Community Representatives.
