Modified Tennis Student Athletes and Families:

I hope this letter finds you enjoying your school year and preparing to try out for the Modified Boys Tennis Team.  Although we are still in the middle of winter in western NY, I encourage you to work on your forehand and backhand swings on a nearby court as well as build up your stamina with cardio conditioning.  The first day of tryouts will be Monday March 25, 2024.  We will practice Monday through Thursday that week from  3:15-4:45pm.  Practice will be following athletic study hall (2:25-2:50). Please bring a healthy snack and water bottle to re-fuel and stay hydrated after a long school day. 

In order to try out, you will need to have had a physical within the past year and be cleared through the health office. Certification will take place online. For tryouts and practice, student athletes must have the proper attire.  Student athletes must have sneakers, a tennis racket, water bottle, and proper tennis/workout attire.  This could be sweatpants, shorts, t-shirt, sweatshirt.  As we know, the weather could be sunny one moment and snow the next during this time of the year.  Please dress accordingly.  I like to have practice outside as much as possible.
